The hotel has seen better days; the room in such bad condition with peeling bath and sodden carpet, but I was upgraded to the new floors. The service left much to be desired with rude and uncaring staff. However, the location was very convenient with easy access to transportation and attractions. The dining experience was subpar with limited options. Overall, a mixed experience with room for improvement.

The hotel is conveniently located in the heart of midtown Manhattan, making it easy to access all the attractions and transportation options. The rooms are spacious with tired furnishings, but each has its own private bathroom. While the decor might seem outdated with no recent renovations, the value for the price paid is decent. The service levels vary, from rude and indifferent to attentive and welcoming, affecting the overall experience. The location stands out for its proximity to key landmarks, but the direct rail link to Newark airport adds an extra layer of convenience despite some noise from the busy streets. The facilities meet basic needs, but they may not meet the expectations of guests looking for modern amenities. Overall, an average accommodation option for those looking for a central location in Manhattan with mixed service experiences.

The hotel's location is superb, directly above Penn Station with easy access to various points in New York. The rooms were recently upgraded on the renovated floors, offering only two pillows but with a private bathroom. Service quality varied from rude to exceptional. The dining options were unsatisfactory with stale bagel and old fruits. Facilities were passable, and the overall value for money was substandard.

The hotel offers pillow-top mattresses and brand new slippers in the rooms but lacks queen beds even in the summer bathrooms. The service was found to be very rude and lacking customer care, especially at the reception desk. On the bright side, the location is conveniently situated close to Penn Station and various shops. Dining options were described as subpar with old fruits, even though some coupons were available.

I had a mixed experience at this hotel. The rooms were cleaned daily with fresh towels, and my classic king bedroom offered a view of the Empire State, but having 2 single beds instead of a double was a bit inconvenient. The service at the reception desk was below par, with staff lacking customer service skills, which was disappointing. However, the location directly on top of Penn Station made it super convenient to get around New York City easily.

The rooms, although not spacious enough for suitcases, have their own private bathrooms with just a single bed, not even king-sized.
